In 2016, MegaRexx® Trucks took the world by storm with the introduction of the incredible Original MegaRexx® — a vehicle concept and design like nothing ever seen before. Earlier this year, we released the award-winning, seven-passenger MegaRexx® SVN™, with its fully-integrated, hand-formed, aluminum SUV-style roof, and custom, one-piece, deep-tinted side glass giving it a sleek, rugged, off-road look. Why do we do these things? Because life is too short to drive a boring truck!
As the saying goes, “You can’t rest on your laurels!” So we’ve been at it again — this ALL-NEW, one-of-a-kind, fully upgraded MegaRexx® was handcrafted by our Team of Master Craftsmen at MegaRexx® Trucks HQ in sunny Wilmington, North Carolina — but you might notice something a little different about this one...
INTRODUCING THE ALL-NEW
The all-new, seven-passenger MegaRexx® 7, with its fully-removable fiberglass hardtop, is equipped with the legendary 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo-Diesel cranking out 475HP and a massive 1,050LBF-FT of ground-pounding torque, just like all MegaRexx® Trucks. The super-aggressive stance is courtesy of 4.5" Icon™ progressive coil springs in the front, 5" multi-leaf springs out back, adjustable rear spring bump stops, our proprietary MegaRexx® stronger and longer radius arms, King™ reservoir shocks, Icon™ dual steering stabilizers, and an Icon™ adjustable track bar. It rides on 46" x 15.5" (395/85R20) Michelin® XZL tires wrapped around 20" 3-piece aluminum military MRAP (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected) wheels with NO spacers(!) protected by custom gloss black rock rings. To compensate for the upgrades, the MegaRexx® 7 has been re-geared to 4.88:1 gears, the speedometer was corrected via our Hypertech™ calibration programmer, and we’ve included a Pedal Commander® Throttle Response Controller for on-the-fly adjustments.
Black powder-coated side steps aid with ingress and egress to the very well-appointed cockpit where you’ll find heated and ventilated driver and passenger bucket seats with driver-side memory and second-row bucket seats upholstered in Ebony Black micro-perforated leather under a massive, twin-panel panoramic power moonroof, and for the first time in a MegaRexx®, power-folding third-row seats (sourced from Ford’s own Epedition®), protected by a rear steel safety cage tucked under a fully-removable fiberglass hardtop. Now you can enhance your Original MegaRexx® experience with an open-air trek into the wilderness or cruise the strip with the moonroof wide open and the top off!
The first MegaRexx® 7 was built on the Ford F250 Super Duty Crew Cab Lariat 4x4 and is finished in rich Lithium Gray Metallic. It is upfitted with our trophy truck-inspired, high-approach angle Smasher™ front bumper with gloss black inserts and our High & Tight™ rear bumper with two 2” square LED reversing lights. Anzo® switchback headlights and a 40” LED light bar provide more than ample forward illumination, and a powerful train horn is on tap for those who, for whatever reason, didn’t see you coming. A custom, satin black, laser-etched, MegaRexx®-emblazoned tailgate panel with matching “MegaRexx® Trucks” badge wraps up the tail end.
Raised axles and differentials combined with the massive Michelin® XZL tires ensure the MegaRexx® 7 will easily clear rocks, snow, mud, and other obstacles. The tires are not only larger in diameter, but they’re also much wider than stock, which helps prevent them from potentially sinking into soft terrain. Our proprietary CAD-designed body modifications allow the use of these larger tires with very little lift, which helps maintain a low center of gravity for increased stability and is further enhanced by the much wider track. Our exclusive CAD-designed, laser-cut steel halo supports the tilt-action, one-piece front end with nitrogen gas shocks to assist with opening and closing, and the outer bedsides were trimmed with our beefy, fat fenders that are both bolted and bonded to the bed. The MegaRexx® 7 is 9" wider than a stock F250 — on each side! To maximize quality control, all of the modifications — mechanical, electrical, fabrication, bodywork, and paint — were done in-house.
